Responsible gaming

Bet within your limits.

BetVantage is an odds comparison, promo, and pick-tracking tool for adults 21 and older. It does not operate a sportsbook and does not accept or place wagers. If betting stops being fun, this page has the resources to help.

Before you bet

  • Only bet if you are 21 or older and legally allowed to do so where you are located.
  • Set limits before you bet and never wager money you cannot afford to lose.
  • Verify odds directly with the sportsbook before placing a bet — prices, availability, and limits change.
  • Sportsbook availability varies by state, and BetVantage shows only the books that are live where you are.

Support resources

If gambling is creating stress, debt, relationship strain, or a loss of control, consider pausing right away and using professional, confidential support. Help is free and available around the clock.

  • National Problem Gambling Helpline — call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537), available 24/7. Also reachable at 1-800-522-4700.
  • NCPG help & treatment resources (ncpgambling.org) — confidential information on support and treatment options.
  • Mental-health crisis — call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States.

What BetVantage can and cannot do

BetVantage can help you compare odds across your books, track promos, and follow a publicly graded record of picks. It cannot prevent gambling harm, provide counseling, predict outcomes, or decide whether betting is appropriate for you. We do not take wagers, hold deposits, or move money — you bet directly with your own sportsbook, and the responsibility for those decisions stays with you.

Self-exclusion & sportsbook tools

Sportsbooks and state regulators offer real tools to help you stay in control. Review what is available in your state and directly inside any sportsbook account you use:

  • Deposit limits — cap how much you can add over a day, week, or month.
  • Time and wager limits — set boundaries on session length or bet size.
  • Cool-off periods — pause your account for a set stretch of time.
  • Self-exclusion programs — remove your access for an extended period through the sportsbook or your state regulator.

A note on staying in control

Betting carries risk, and no tool changes that — including this one. Treat any money you wager as spent, keep it separate from bills and savings, and step away when it stops being enjoyable. If you are worried about your own betting or someone else's, reach out to the resources above; you can also email support@betvantage.app or visit our contact page.
